Introduction To Carbonization Furnace

The apparatus for carbonizing the pre-oxidized wire (or phenolic precursor) is mainly a continuous furnace, and the batch furnace is a pre-oxidation furnace, which is carried out by increasing the temperature.

The continuous carbonization furnaces are all horizontal, but there are two types of (1) filament bundles that use a similar furnace structure as the horizontal pre-oxidation furnace, but because of the short residence time, several different temperature slit-type heating plates are used. In the long furnace, the tow is not in contact with the heating surface; (2) the non-woven or felt-like pre-oxidized wire may be selected from the above-mentioned carbonization furnace, but may be carried out in a conveyor belt furnace if the carbonization temperature is not high.

Each carbonization furnace is provided with an inert gas inlet and outlet.
